Image problem - images do not load in Google image search or Youtube

Hi,

This seems to be a common problem when searching Google, but there are no good answers out there, I hope somebody here can help. Having searched the forums as best I could I only managed to find a thread from 2006 with no real outcome, and another where somebody had accidently switched accessability on.

If I browse on Youtube or Google image search the images simply do not load. IE8 reports x items left to download. Video on Youtube load and play fine.

This problem seems to affect all browsers and OS (FF3, IE8 on windows, Safari 4 on mac and FF on mac)

I've also tried everything suggested from my Google search results.
Disabled firewall and AV (Kaspersky, nothing on mac), changed IE8 security settings (allthough it happened on IE7 too) Changed DNS settings on router.

I'm with O2 LLU broadband and I'm getting my max 1.12MB/s from usenet so speed is not a problem.

I.m using a Linksys AM200 v1.19.04 + WRT54G with tomato v1.23

I've got it setup RFC 1483 Bridged mode with the firewall protection on for both devices. Apart from the different lan settings both devices are at standard settings.

Please, if anybody has had this problem and solved it I would be very grateful as the help from a Google search is sketchy at best.

Have you consulted your isp about the problem?

Have you also tried trace routing the images from the image server?

nope, I'll give the image trace a go tonight.

Calling my ISP will be the last course of action, can you imagine how hard it's going to be describing this problem to a tech support person?!
