Image Repair

Hi all,

Recently found an old usb drive that has some old pictures of a well loved dog that's recently passed away.

Issue i'm having is even though the preview icon on windows explorer shows the pictures clear as day light, when you open them they have green blocks all over it, tearing that sort of thing.

Is there a way to fix these corrupted images? I'm hoping there's a chance since the preview thumbnails looks fine.

Usualy no. I think windows builds a seperate part of the file for the thumbnail.
In some cases the header is broken and some softwares fix it, but it does sound like some data corruption. How bad are the errors. I might be able to fix them for you in the image alone if not massively damaging.
