Hi all

Ran memtest earlier, and it seems to have caused some image retention on my GL850.

If I change the refresh rate to 60 Hz, the display (in the area with image retention specifically) flickers.

Any ideas? This is multiple hours after I first noticed it - monitor has been powered off etc but no luck.

Didn’t think screen burn was an issue in IPS panels?

It’s not screen burn in the same way OLED gets screen burn, which is uneven pixel wearing.

Image retention on LCDs is where the pixels can get stuck, usually from a weird backlight strobing and refresh rate issue.

Over time, it seems to be getting better, but it's very weird

Did you try one of those apps that strobes through a bunch of pixel noise, would that perhaps help?

(Sorry I don't have a concrete suggestion of one).
