Image retention

Bought 3 monitors msi 247f

Not bad for the money

Been iRacing and a bit of ac rally.

Had it for a few weeks now.

All of a sudden we have massive image retention. Dials and timers on the desktop.

Turns out I’d turned on frame generation and dlss in ac rally.

We reset back to default and no more image retention.

Assuming not dlss, so frame gen hammers the pixels and causes this.

Why is this?

Never heard of anything like that, maybe just a driver bug?

If it disappeared when you changed the settings it does sound, as Tetras says like it's a driver bug where it wasn't clearing the output properly, as if it was a monitor issue it would likely still be there as things like image burn tends to result in pixels getting stuck/burned out.

I'll move this to graphics as it seems like a driver/graphics card issue rather than a monitor or general hardware one.
