"Subject #11 developed a new cross-modal sense that, in effect, turned his hands into a Virtual Reality pair of gloves capable of extracting images stored in his brain that were faithful high-fidelity replicas of his inner body parts. Further, he developed this ability into an analgesic technique of wide use and rapidity, effectively editing the brain circuitry which controls pain-perception at-will within seconds (3000msecs).

The method used by the subject was simply placing one of his hands in proximity to a part of his body in which pain was experienced, and 'pulling out' a virtual tactile-sensed copy of the part by airborne grasping, making a 'throwing-away' gesture to release the virtual pained-part replica - which gesture effected objective analgesia of the pained body part in seconds.

Initial analgesia duration measurements for several of his pain-conditions revealed effective analgesia for up to 3 hours."

I have a bag of acronyms to sell. No IOU's.

Can we solve this once and for all? I thought someone like IOU or PLC was an abbreviation not an acronym?

An acronym being a word, the letters for which are made of other words, e.g. laser or radar.

It's neither. It's a gramogram.

You mean 'breast x-ray'

"Subject 11 developed this virtual exointeroceptive cross-modal sense in the 1st week of his transient psychosis.

During his impaired cognitive and neurophysical tone (adrenalin insufficiency, high brain-oxytocin (bOT), chronic plateaud cortisol status: caused by excess coffee drinking, chronic psychosocial stressors, and chronic sleep lack 12w|52) he developed the virtual sensing ability in response to a felt need to impress an imaginary female (hallucination entity #3).

The sense-development method used was manual imaginative pair association, resulting in the new cross-modal sense emerging in response to a recounted trial course of 3-5 minutes of tactile heat-sensing practice, and imaginative heat-shaping practise, using the radiant heat generated from the screen of a turned-on mobile phone ."
