We've just discovered that our copy of Acronis True Image won't see the dell perc 5/i controller and we need to take a drive image. It also appears from the acronis forums that the latest copy doesnt either.....

Has anyone got any suggestions of software (linux boot disks/commercial software) that will let us do this ?

Cheers guys !

It appears that the latest version of true image home does work with the perc5/i ! All be it very slowly (must be in some basic IO mode or something) !

Of the top of my head i would say Ghost.

Im pretty sure that you can include the drivers for the controller on a boot disk and them image the disk.

Problem is that ghost gets all stroopy (unless it has changed recently) when you try to image 'server oses' even though the filesystem is identical (crippleware by any other name) - Acronis is far more reasonable in this respect (you can't do 'live' images, but you can do cold imaging of a server os).
