Hello,

I'm currently looking into deploying Windows XP Pro over three PC's sharing very similar hardware. I've been looking and found a piece of software called Macrium Reflect - a free edition to image the OS. However, i've also found the Microsoft Windows XP deployment tools? Could anybody tell me if i need to run the two of them - if i even can? Or if i simply need to make an image of the OS and deploy on the other machines from an External HDD?

Please bare in mind i've never done this before and thus know nothing of it

Cheers

:)

Bare in mind you'll need 3 licenses, also if your running these 3 pc's on the same LAN then your going to want to sysprep them to give them different SID's otherwise they'll be slow on the LAN.
Have a look at either acronis TI or ghost but if your new to this and dont have a RIS or WDS server then it possibly easier for you to download n-lite and create an autoanswer file to automate the install from cd as well as injecting any custon drivers or software you might require.

Edit: apologies if its a bit vague but been a long day, if you want any more info then PM me.
