IMAP in outlook 2010

I have outlook 2010 on my laptop and work machine using an IMAP setup to keep them both in sync.

Is there any way of disabling or changing the sync settings for folders in 2010, before i moved the work machine over it was on outlook express and they had options not to sync selected folders.

Right click on your email address and go to IMAP Options:

Then click query to get a list of your folders and select the ones to un-subscribe from.

Thanks for the reply.

However, that seems to completely remove the folders from the system meaning i cant see their contents - i still need them there, just not updated every 5 minutes when it does a send/recieve.
