Ok, so I tried asking this question on the GMail forums, but got no response. Maybe someone here knows what is going on...

I have imported a lot of old email into my gmail account by the use of IMAP folders and Thunderbird. The process went smoothly and everything is uploaded fine.

I have one problem though, and that is, that two of the messages that I have imported in, for some reason confuses gmail into thinking that they were received on that day they were uploaded instead of when they were originally received.

I have tried looking at the headers to see if anything looks wrong, but it all seems fine to me. Can anyone spot as to why this mail, even though it was received back in 2004, gets bumped up to show as a recent email received on the 17th of April (when I uploaded it)?...

Sorted this...

Turns out, if you copy the message to a thunderbird folder first, and then copy it from there up to gmail, it sorts the issue out.
