I turned iMessage off a long time ago, I found it very unreliable with sending messages despite my iPhone reporting a message 'delivered'.

Free picture messages over iMessage though? I know you can email as an alternative but it's useful/easier if most of your mates have iPhones with it enabled.

Or use Whatsapp which isn't limited to just iPhones and is far more reliable.

Been absolutely perfect for me apart from last night and even then, it sends it as a text message!

It even syncs to my mac properly now, switching between messaging people on my macs and my iPhone is seemless.

I love it now for the fact that I can reply to texts from my Mac and have it sync across both devices.
