IMON Remote Control vs MCE Remote

Hi All

Been looking at a few HTPC cases (Mainly Silvertec) which include a display unit and remote control. Many of them seem to be the IMON style controllers.

Just wondering if I plan on running MCE will the IMON remote control and IR Reciver work with it....or should i get the window MCE remote and reciver?

If the IMON remote and reciver will work fine, will the IMON reciver be usedable with the winodws remote control.

Hope all that makes sense, im a bit of a n00b when it come to all this

IRMAN and Girder software will give you the ultimate flexibility of being able to use any remote control you desire in any application you desire to do whatever you want.
 
Well for your information, i am currebtly using an imon remote on this machine with mce and i have another machine with mce and an hp mce remote.

Basically, if you just want to use the mce functions with the remote, then either will do, not much difference. If you want to do other things like surf, winamp and general messing about then the imon allows you but the mce doesnt.

I just use the imon and its software with mce with no problem, the imon can be configured fairly easily, through a gui to do just about anything you want, it seems to have an mce profile already though, and winamp and powerdvd and so on... :cool:
