Impact of 4 sticks of memory on 3570K overclock?

I'm struggling to get my 3570K stable above 4.3GHz. In reality it's fast enough, but 4.5GHz is supposed to be a fairly easy target to hit.

It has just struck me that I'm running with 4 sticks of memory (4 x 4GB) which could be causing my problems. Is this a reasonable assumption?

Are there any additional settings I could be tweaking to compensate for having four sticks of memory installed? I do need the memory, and I'm not going to swap it out for 8GB sticks for the sake of 200MHz.

When I get chance I'll pull two of the sticks and see if it helps, but that's not going to be possible until the weekend at the earliest.

It's a 3570K on a Z77-D3H with a NH-D14 cooler (temperatures are fine).

what dram and cpu/vtt voltages are you using? 16gb shouldnt affect stability as your not overclocking through the bclk like older cpu's

maybe try with 1.08-1.1v cpu/vtt with 16gb
