Somewhere in the middle.
Do you think we would have had the Brexit and do you think Donald Trump would be so popular had 9/11 not happened?

It made the world freak out about terrorism and assume every immigrants was a risk. Was 9/11 the catalyst for everything we are seeing right now?

Dunno if there is a discussion here. Just pondering :)

If 9/11 never happened, something much worse could have. On the other hand, maybe nothing would have? You could also argue the 2008 financial crisis would not have happened either. There are a million possible out comes, which makes Brexit look irrelevant in comparison

Legitimate question but we're human after all, we probably would have found another reason to have wars/hate each other a little more.

Conspiracy idiots need to spend less time on the internet.

I agree with this part. Far too much nonsense out there with far too many people believing it.

Noel Edmonds' Anti-Cancer positivity machine, UFO knowledge at Area 51, a well thought out plan of standing alone in Europe with Boris in charge.. :p

The wars that 9/11 triggered have had much further reaching impact on the world than the act it's self. But I certainly view it as a pivotal point in my life and I feel like it set the tone for this century.

The Bush administration were determined to topple Saddam in spite of 9/11 so we may have been in a similar position regardless.

The way things are going in the news and social media, I give it until the end of the week before Corbyn gets the blame for 9/11.

Basically the state of the entire world today is because of some dodgy counting in Florida in the year 2000 which led to GWB as president instead of Al Gore.
