Import fees from China?

I'm wanting to order a few bits from aliexpress, VAT now gets added to the total purchase price, what additional fees might the items be subject to when they enter the country and how much would it now cost?

Total value is less than £50.

That should be it if they account for the VAT correctly, properly complete the customs declaration and it's not alcohol or tobacco.

Customs duty doesn't apply to goods worth £135 or less.
