Import Mass Effect key into Steam?

Not really bothered if I can't do it, but I'd like to have all my games show up in steam. I just noticed (must have been under a rock) that Mass Effect is available in steam. I already have the retail DVD version so I tried to import the key, but it won't recognise it. Is it possible or am I just doing it wrong?

EDIT, never mind looks like I can't. Such a shame, as I'm curious to see what, if any, the achievements are.

Nope, can't do it

Just have to add a shotcut to steam so you can launch it through there

Games -> Add non-Steam game to library

I'm using texmod so I have to run it via that anyway,

Didn't think you can register the original ME on Origin either, unless they've changed something recently.
