I bought 4GB ram (4x1GB) a while back and now 2 has died on me and they stop selling the same model.

Will another 2gb ram work with another brand in the mobo?

These are my ram:

OCZ SLI-Ready Edition 4GB 1066MHz Dual Channel

If you are going to buy a different brand try getting ram at the exact same spec of your current ram.

i still would not mix different brands of ram,can cause compatibilty issues

If you really have to then, try and match volts, timings and speed.

Volts are the key one really, as the mobo will run the all memory at the slowest speed of whichever kit it is, so if u can match the specs thats best.

Generally not the best idea to mix and match, but can be done if done properly

Yeh may be, if it was me id just get the cheapest, but branded 2 x 2gb kit, will be less pressure on the NB that way also.
