Importing a PS3 from the States

A: The PS3 will have region free games, allowing European gamers for example to play titles from Japan or the US.

With the above in mind, is anyone thinking of importing one of these bad boys from the States to get it before Christmas? Don't think I can hold out until March 2007 (which will be May/June in reality judging by the Xbox360 launch)

(Before the obligatory thread crapping begins I'd like to say that the Xbox 360 looks great too)
