Importing an iPod Touch

Can you import a Touch? Is there any reason not to do this? Is there some kind of region lock on the Touch? Will I be able to change the language from German/French/whatever into English (UK, or US)?

Can you import a Touch? Probably but not in a supported manner AFAIK

Is there any reason not to do this? If you can do it, then power to ya, but im assuming it doesnt let you to stop people sharing MP3's using the ipod.

Is there some kind of region lock on the Touch? Nope, bought many US ipods over the years without any issues.

Will I be able to change the language from German/French/whatever into English (UK, or US)? Never done it, but i'd suspect so.

I'm not looking for a warranty, tech support or anything like that I'm just trying to keep my options open. I'm on the look out for a cheap(ish) 2G Touch. But from what I've seen it probably won't be that much cheaper to buy it abroad. Guess I'll have to wait for some of the 2G owners to start upgrading.

Warranty is worldwide so that's nothing to worry about.
