Importing FF favs to IE?

Occassionally I have to go back to IE and my mrs prefers IE. I'm trying to import my favs from Firefox into IE (win7 64).

I click on IE/File/Import from another browser/Firefox

Each time I try it fails.

Any ideas or other methods to quickly do this?

Export from Firefox as a .html and import into IE ?
Not tested, but it works in Chrome (which also will not import directly).
 
From Firefox go to bookmarks-organize bookmarks-import + backup, choose export html, save file to desktop for ease, open IE favourites- add to favourites- import and export then import file from desktop and should be there to use.
