Importing Registry entries from a 2nd Windows installation on the fly?

If this makes sense to anyone, is it possible?

Running Windows 7 which is great but am wanting to import some Registry entries from my Vista install... preferably without having to reboot into the Vista partition and "exporting" the entries.

What's wrong with rebooting into the Vista partition to export the entries? Doesn't take long!
