Got my better half a Sony WX500 but she doesn't like the PlayMemories Home software that it came with
to import photos / videos. I've checked the memory card and it looks like the photos are stored in
multiple sub-folders and all the video files are stored in another sub-folder.
I've tried Photo Mechanic which works but at $150 it's a bit pricey for just importing photos, if it was
also able to import video files then I might have considered it.
Is anyone able to offer any advice on a workflow which can import the .jpg from multiple sub-folders to a
folder on the PC? Would it be best to store all the files in one folder or should I organise them using
a folder structure? e.g. Year > Month > Day > Location
Once on the PC I can then setup a Robocopy script or use FreeFileSync to back them up to the cloud / external
HDD.
