I Bought the 28 day matured filet and Rib-Eye on the left and almost made it out of the market before spotting the colossal fresh cut Rib-Eye and Filet that you see on the right. Now do we enjoy the mature flavour of the matured beef or do we enjoy the sheer manliness of the beef on the right.

If I go left I can leave the beef on the right in the fridge for a week for the flavours to mature…

So difficult to choose. Please help. I will post pics of the cooked meat being Pwned by me later :D

Looks a bit too red to be 28 day matured tbh and the rib eye? isn't marbled enough for me.

I'm fussy though :)

dont forget if you leave it in teh fridge for a weekm, it will go a nasty brown colour.

dont let that put you off when it come to cooking.

Im not bothered about the colour, however i dont think ageing it in the fridge is really possible due to the lack of air-flow and incorrect humidity...

have to say I prefer Rib-Eye to fillet, more fatty, so more taste, and its cheaper, so you get more meat for your money.

Buying fillet, your money doesn't stretch very far :(

If you want marbled steak, you might want to try some high grade premium (I can't believe I just paid that much for a steak  ) japanese steaks, I saw one and could not believe how much fat there was

Ok ive decided that the matured beef can sit in the fridge for the next 2 days. Ive just pounded on my big meat and chucked a load of salt and pepper on it. Will leave it outside the fridge to dry out for a few hours and will cook it later.

:)
