After turning speedstep and such off, in hwmonitor my fan speeds suddenly shoot up to impossible speeds.

Sometimes its just one fan, sometimes its all three. Help, I'm worried. :(

EDIT: Now they're all normal, what's going on o_O

Last time I checked it was normal, I'll put it down to the program cause the fans certainly haven't gotten any louder...(And now my speeds are normal again)

Anyone got any other good programs for the same purposes as hwmonitor?

i noticed hardwaremonitor app said my netbook was 51c... but with coretemp and everest they say 31c... probably hardwaremonitor app is not good for all systems.

51,000RPM xD have you noticed your pc trying to race across the room :D

lol 51krpm is like a freaking jet.! lol he would have to have noticed the great hole in the wall behind where the comp sits :p

ot have a seatbelt installed if its an intake fan lol

If all your fans are normally 900-1000rpm, I'd be tempted to say it's just gotten confused and added 51K for luck.

Fan speeds and CPU temperatures are recorded differently - if I recall right, many CPUs do not report actual temperature, they report a value that correlates to their temperature, and the hardware monitoring program refers to a conversion chart for the CPU, or for the series, so different programs can give you different temperatures.
I think fan speeds are reported much more literally, but I don't know the actual process.
