Im thinking of buying a cheap impreza as a track car. It seems you can pick up a decent UK Turbo 2000 for about 3500. However, a similar age Jap spec STI is 7k ish.
Obviously the Jap spec has much higher tuning potential but what are the limitations of the UK derivitive? How much power would spending say, £2000, on a UK car get me.
I'm after the cheapest way to get to 300 - 350 bhp, which I believe is fairly easily acheived. I understand 400bhp and beyond is uber bucks.
