i have managed to clock my 4670k to 4.4@ 1.212v on the z87x-oc max temps are 69,68,68 and 62.

where do i go from here as when i try to go for 4.5 i need to put the volts to 1.29 or is 4.4 the max i will get out of this chip?????

my settings which i think are ones needed are

multi x45
vcore 1.276
cpu vrin override 1.850
cpu ring 1.185

gives me 4.5 with temps of 58,57,59 and 51 overall running the ROG real bench.

4.6 is outta the window as i cant get it stable at all. what should i be looking at next to increase or have i hit the limit

To increase perf now try tuning both uncore frequency and overclocking your RAM.

You dont list your ram but on Haswell benefit is often had by really pushing RAM up and tuning timings.

Thats very strange on OC this clocks RAM very well.

Those Dimms are Hynix I think.

Try 10-13-12-31 1T for starters. Force TRFC to around 260 and tune down.
