Improve my spec please

Will be built into a Fractal Define R4. I only need the components listed below, have everything else i can canibalise. Main requirements:-

Quiet
Cool
Quick

In that order. I have no problem with overclocking but not looking to wring every last mhz out. This will end up servicing the lounge tv as a multipurpose machine (games, media centre , download box) so it really does need to be quiet as possible given the spec.

Main questions really are:-

Psu - Any reason to get a higher rated psu
Ram - open to suggestions here
Mobo - any reason to get a pricier one or is this going to be ok for mild overclock
Heatsink - will this clear the ram heat spreaders
Gfx - had bad experience with amd in the past, butnshould i really be looking at a 7970 for this cash.
SSD - im happy with the crucial unless you give me a solid reason why not :). Have 3 of these in other machines and have been bulletproof so far.

Can go another £100 total if needed but would need to be a solid reason for the extra spend. I dont care what the components looks like as all will be hidden anyway, they just need to perform.

Went with a closed liquid cooler, there are Corsair refurbished models on offer but these aren't due for a another 4 weks odd.

Thanks guys, good call on the ram.

Ive shied away from the closed loop coolers as the thought of one going wrong seems pretty catastrophic. Are they that much better than air? Presumably the noise level is similar since they still have 2 fans on the rad ( in the case of the h100 anyway). Will do some more reading!

It's very rare for them to fail.. So don't worry about that.. You'd have to Chuck it around like a ragdoll until it 'popped'.

the H100 is about 5%-10% better than the Big Air cooler (£50-£70). The price of this H100 is phenomenal, they are normally £80-£100..
