The rig is going into a Silverstone Sugo Evolution, be used to replace my current p2 450/450 rig that I use to hold mass hard drives.

Looking at that, it seems the 4000+ is not going to be a San Diego but a Clawhammer, anyone able to tell me what sort of heat they pump out and if they like being undervolted?

Stability is the main thing, I have controller card and hard drives already, just I can max out both processors in the current rig when I do some serious file transfering or its taking copies of the other rigs hard drives.

The 3700+ SD is a nice looking processor aswell, just after the lowest heat output really on a nice solid motherboard with passive NB and onboard graphics.

Open to any suggestions you may have. :)

This probably isnt much better but more future proof, dont really know how AM2 overclocks though.

Don't need future proof, never going to upgrade the rig again, well maybe in 7 years time and by then, whats AM2?

Do you have any idea on the reliability and stability of that motherboard?

First rig looks fine. I'd just go with a 3700SD - less heat. Do you really need the extra power of the 4000 just for a HDD box?

Nope, the 3000+ would be overkill for my needs.

Venice = San Diego.

Which one is the cooler, I have a 3700+ in a rig at the moment but never owned a 3000+ Venice.
