Hi my current specs are:

Inter Core 2 Duo CPT E7400 @ 2.80GHz
8GM RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450

I get low FPS in games such as Battlefield 3, so I decided to upgrade something, the question is, what should i upgrade, and what to? :(

My current budget for the upgrade is £150

Thanks for the help will get the money together and buy that. Although, I have never overclocked a cpu, do you think i should try or get someone to do it for me?

If you do want to OC, open a thread in the Cpu or Overclocking thread, you will get plenty of help there. Do you have an aftermarket cooler?

If you are overclocking it's best to have an aftermarket heatsink to keep the CPU cool. Are you running the stock heatsink currently? It's not hard to do and we will be quite happy to walk you through the process :)

What resolution are you gaming at? The 560ti was a good midrange card but it only has 1GB of VRAM still. You will notice the 6950 has 2GB of VRAM as do pretty much all the new gaming GPUs.

If you don't have the cash yet, double check with us before you buy. The weekly offers change on a wednesday and there are also daily offers to consider. So we might be able to suggest something better still

I've tried at every resolution including 800x600 but the fps still goes pretty low during bigger fights, when more stuff is happening.

Sorry, whats a psu?

The square box with a fan in it that supplies the power to all of your components. Usually sits in the bottom or top (depending on case) and has a mains lead going into it. It's only the most important component in a pc. Take your side panel off and tell us the make and model.

If you are using a flat screen monitor they have what is called a native resolution. To get the best image quality you should use this res, easy to know what it is as windows recommends it, if you right click on the desktop and choose screen resolution.

My next question has already been asked. The power supply you have is important so we don't recommend a gfx card that wants more power than your rig can provide. Overclocking the CPU and/or the GPU will also draw more power from the PSU.
