Immense Oven, not sure if it's just because the previous oven was probably older than me, but I love this :D

The "custom" units:

We couldnt get the units in the size we wanted :(

Thats a 1m space, the only tall larders they did were 60 or 40, so we got the 60's butchered them into 50's and used standard 50 wall unit doors ;)

Due to the odd size we had to get individual wire drawers 2 in each cupboard space.
The bottom right has the gas meter in it so just used shelves in that one, really happy they turned out how I had thought :)

Temp worktops £25 in Ikea BArgain corner, love that bit haha, were going with a nice black granite with dark inky blue streaks.

And until I can locate my soldering iron the LED strips are still in the box :(

Thanks dude
Coulda rushed it and been done before xmas but thought whats the point, only gonna do it once may as well do it properly :)
In desperate need of a bit of colour tho xD

well you could add coloured LED lighting or make the accessories like kettles, toasters, spatulas etc a bright colour.

Once the granite goes in and the lights reflect off the place I think it will look different as well.

Please don't use RGB LED - it's your house, not a crap nightclub :p

I'd get some warm white under the plinths to set the floor off nicely, some warm white under the cabinets so you can see what you're doing, and if you really want some colour then put something on top of the cabinets to light the ceiling.

I disagree, I think RGB will look good with such a glossy white kitchen. You can get plenty of LED strips now that have warm white anyway.

Where's the kitchen from? And what tiles are you going with?

Really like that! The floor looks great and adds some warmth to offset the white and black. Not sure if it needs any colour tbh.

Thanks for the feedback guys :)

RGB with white :)
Got an infrared controller to control the top and bottom ones separately:)

Do I dare say.... B&Q  mate had a trade card

Unsure on tiles yet, need to see how they look with upstands.
The granite were getting is a Black with dark blue in it, tried getting a photo of the sample we've got, useless lol

Was originally gonna get the cooker splashback in granite too but I think that would be too much looks wise, gonna stick with just the upstands

I opted for solid oak instead of granite in a recent kitchen I had done. As its a rental one so wanted to save money. I decided on just up stands and didn't tile. For the splash back I did stainless steel as I think its nice to use different materials.

hmm stainless would match the oven, think I'll do that or white glass.

Ordered the granite >.<
Local quotes were almost 2k +VAT
Have opted for Mayfair Granite under 1.8k all in.

Goddamn price of the kitchen again, better be worth it haha

Yeah some of the glass splash backs look good. Some with halo lighting around really stand out. Its also a place were you can add some nice colours.

Sorry the pic I had of the stainless splash back was a bit crappy. Its very shiny n bright in person.

It's very, very white

yeah :p
Not for long tho.
Worktops Black granite, dense clusters in it with streaks or a dark inky blue.
LED's with a white option to go in soon as I get round to getting a new soldering iron.
