improving laptop graphics

Hi

I can see that my Dell D830 was available with a choice of these 3 cards:-

NVIDIA® Quadro NVS 140M Graphics
NVIDIA® Quadro NVS 135M Graphics
Integrated Mobile Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator X31003

Mine came with the basic card (third one) so is there anyway I can get the NVIDIA card for my laptop?

In a word. No.

You cannot change an integrated graphics card for a discrete unit.
