currently have in my system a 8500 at 3.16 ghz
a ati 4850 with memory clock at 1000mhz and gpu clock at 500 mhz
6gb of ram

basicly my question is if it's possible to get my cpu to 4ghz and if i have to take a new graphic card to improve my system

The GTX260 will be a little faster than the HD5770.The HD5770 will be the best choice if you plan to xfire.

basicly my question is if it's possible to get my cpu to 4ghz

details on MB? Cooler? etc...
It's basically changing 333fsb to 421fsb (x9.5 mult.) with a voltage stability tweak - doable on any half decent MB, provided your cpu doesn't mind the overclock.

GA-EP45-DS3 and the Prolimatech Mega Shadow will do fine. It's certainly possible, but as always, experiment, nothing is guaranteed.

As in, it should be possible, but dont jump straight to that temp, build it up slowly and see how you get on. You cant always get the same oc as others, etc

(I believe xD)

Great board and CPU for overclocking, you should easily do 3.6 with stock cooler just by changing the FSB, 4gig should be possible with voltage tweek and aftermarket cooler,

260gtx is a great card and overclocks well...... and it is getting on a bit now so you should be able to get one at a bargain price.

4.0GHz is easy but you can do 4.2GHz safely. just up the bus speed and leave cpu voltage on auto as this is fine, just check in cpuz in windows to double check what this is.

in regards to changing the gpu I wouldn't go for an nvidea. depending why you want it faster you'll be better off with xfire and the board was designed for that in mind
