Anyone got any tips for improving my visual memory?

Let me give you an example, If i think of someones face, I can rememebr that they have a big nose, or funny hair but I cant see the image of that in my head.

My general memory is great, but Im just not so good at picturing things and Id like to improve this

Eating oily fish, containing Omega 3 and 6 might help.

I don't know what you expect us to do, it's your brain and your conciousness, we can't tweak it for you.

Apparently if you put some copper wire accross the north bridge of your noggin, you can get an extra 350 GigaWatts of memory juice out of it.

I wondered if anyone new a technique or book to improve this.

I dont speak albanian, but i can learn - its no different

Try to find relationships between your memories. For instance, with your face example, you will probably know a person with a big nose. Therefore, use that persons name to associate all people with big noses, same for curly hair, if you have a friend with curly hair catagorise everyone with curly har under a heading of the name of your curly haired friend.

Another memory technique, especially good for lists, is to associate items on the list with a common thing you do everyday such as your journey to work or school. Here is another example, based around a trip to work and a shopping list.

Shut door - bananas
Shut front gate - grapes
Bus stop - milk
No 52 bus - bread
My bus stop - cheese
Acacia Ave - frozen peas
Office - mmmm, choccy biccies

Then when you need to remeber the shopping list, just recall your common journey in sequence and the items will magically pop up from the mirky depth of your memory. The aboe is a very simpel example but with a little practice you will be surprised just how much information can be stored that way. :)

I would think practising at your visual memory would help.

Take 25 small objects put them on a small table spend 2 minutes staring at them, then turn you back and visualise the table in your head and try to remember as many objects as you can, do this until you remember all 25.

Might work if you care to do so.
