Improving Real Bench scores

I would like as the above title implies to improve my Real Bench scores.

i7-4790 at 4.5ghz
8gb Vengenance at 2400mhz
Ranger vii motherboard
R9 270
1Tb hdd
125mb ssd

I suspect that my gpu and ram are the main areas to improve but from which would I see the biggest upgrade, obviously another 8gb of ram is a lot cheaper but would it gain me much or is that £70 (ish) better put towards a superior gpu which I suspect is the case.

I would say, better GPU.

May need a bigger SSD.

Your memory will be fine, but upping your GPU would help.

everything seems fine with processor, mobo and ram.

if the performance increase your after is for games then get a GPU, if its purely for processing big files or editing etc then a SSD would help too.

Any performance gain is for playing around on benchmarks and folding so I guess it's time for a new gpu!

Note that some older cards get higher OpenCL scores in RealBench than some newer, more powerful cards. So whilst gaming performance might increase, you might see a dip in RealBench scores, depending on card.

Thinking of the 680 v 780, for example.
