I have an Antec Sonata 2 case, and as great as the case is, I find with my current setup, the CPU and GPU fans are creating a hotspot dead centre of the case which is causing overheating issues.

I have on the back of my case a Zalman fan as an exhaust and on the front I have the original Antec fan as an cool air intake.

What I would like to do is modify the side of the case round where the hot spot is with a fan.

My question is this, What would you consider my best options?

Using both the front and back fans as intake fans, and the side fan I am modding would then become an exhaust fan?

Or the opposite, And make the side fan the intake and the front and back become the exhaust fans.

I am very new to modding and have never done anything like this, What fan would you recommend for the side? and do you know of any good kits or guides to doing this? Any help would be appreciated. :)

Wouldn't it make more sense to exhaust with the top, have the front and potential side fans pulling air into the case?

side fan should blow onto the hotspot

If you burn your finger do you blow on it to remove heat or try to suck heat off.

I would then say frony intake and rear exhaust.
