Improving wireless range by reducing speed.

Hi,
I read about this. I currently have a Netgear ME102 Access point which is at 11MBPS and is only used for the net. In places the signal is weak and I am looking at boosting it. How would I go about reducing the speed of it to gain higher distance?

Thanks :)

You will probably find that unless you can change the strength of the signal in the setup section of the wireless access point, you won't be able to increase the range by reducing he speed.

It is true that range and speed are proportionately related, but generally the range of the access point/router dictates the speed at which it operates, not the other way round.
