Sell up or respray? surely the third option of ... 'live with it' is the best option out of the 3?

Give it a decent polish and see what disappears, forget the rest.

Find a matching tin of paint and some primer, self repair the hole in the paint.

Buy a tin of elbow grease and T-Cut and go to town on the rest of the car.

Im gonna get some car wash and wax it tomorrow whole day job on give it a good going over and see how it shows up... what products should i get?? nothing to fancy or expencive i just wanna see if i can turn it around if not then im selling.... but this is a pic i just taken now... had the car for years its gonna be sad to see it go if i had to sell :-(....

Clean the car obviously, you don't have to wait for it to dry, follow the imstructions on the tin, & bare in mind rubbing compound is more abrasive than T - cut so don't over do it.

How old is that Accord? That paint is pretty terrible but definitely salvageable.

You just want to stay clear of the lacquer peel;

By all means, polish around it but you don't want to polish over the peel and make it worse.

And yeah, after polishing, wax the car. This will protect the paint. You might also want to clay it before polishing.

2004 but heavily used

I tape over the paint peal to keep it sealed when I polish... right I’m off to Halfords tomorrow morning to get a good shampoo, tire clean, a decent rubbing compound (meguiars or turtle which brand???) and then some clay and clay lubricant (can i get liquid clay it save me a lot of time?) and then polish (again I need decent brand) with lots of microfiber cloths and have a good go the entire day... if i still have movement in my arms after i will then post the after pics on this thread hopefully it come out good...

[EDIT] ORRRR i can send it to a good detailing place any place in the Leeds/West Yorkshire area??? im willing to pay 200/250 or so for it to be done for me?

I wouldn't want to risk taping over it as you might pull the lacquer off when you remove the tape.

I have experience of this first hand, made a right mess :(

Take it to a bodyshop and get em to mop if you want a cheap job, then go over by hand with autoglym SRP and a wax.

You can potentially, cut a square around the lacquer peel.

The go over with lacquer spray, wet sand it back etc etc. It's possible and could last a good year or more.

Ignore it, if it bothered you that much then you would have done something by now and/or wouldn't have let it get like that in the first place.

Spend any money on it and it will only get keyed/stone chipped or otherwise damaged.
