Scrap that. I'm watching annihilation !Just watched Annihilation and it's superb, probably one of the bet films I've seen in ages.
Yes I totally feel for you. Last night was the part where is was sick about 20 times while also having the same issue at the other end..... I was curled up in a ball on the cold tiles with cold sweats.... At this point I was practically begging for the pain to stop. I was also heavily dehydrated and any water I took on wouldn't stay down...I suppose it depends on what stage of the experience you are going through.
The "Heaving every 20 seconds for 6 hours" part.
The "World falling out of your Bottom for another 6 hours" part
Or the "Eye of the Storm" part of relative calm that gives you the chance of a couple of hours sleep between stage #1 and stage #3
(If you have not gone through this before. Make sure that before you get to #3, you stuff some bog paper down the back of your Y-Fronts cos you will not get to the Bog in time when it starts!)
Personally, I am amazed that you have the energy to actually watch anything. When I got Norovirus I just spent 24 Hrs puking, ******** and trying to get a little sleep. And then the next 24 hours trying to recover from the sheer exhaustion (it actually took a week really)
I would suggest something fairly light weight and amusing rather than heavy duty Sci-Fi.
Flash Gordon or Buck Rogers in the 25th century
Or Lexx (Currently on Amazon Prime TV)
(Yes Lexx, Definitely! )
The part of thinking I might die is relatable as well as the speed. I went from feeling fine after getting in from work to how has this happened to me? Within an hour. I've not been sick today and managed to eat a few dry crackers which when ground down to a paste in your mouth are quite nice actually. The two things that got me about the experience was
#1) After I had puked for the Googleth time and had nothing left to give and feeling like my head was going to explode. I was lying there being genuinely concerned that this is the time I am going to find out if I have an un-diagnosed Brain Anurisim or heart condition because, if I did, this might actually kill me!
#2) The other thing that shocked me was the sheer speed of the onset. I went from;
Fine>Feeling a bit odd>completely incapacitated with Uncontrollable Puking.
In no more than 20-30 seconds!
If I had been driving on a Motorway, I would not have had time to pull over to the side of the road and stop safely.
It was really that fast.
Fortunately I had "Just" got home before it struck me. How I would have managed had I still been out and about I really do not know!
I've seen arrival several times actually. Good moviei thought it was pretty weak - try arrival instead, its a much better modern intelligent sci-fi
I thought it was a fantastic movie and would watch it again and againnew blade runner then? its by the same guy.
some people think its too slow but i liked it.
Haha thankfully she was out with the kids all day so wasn't around the infectedWhy do I see something like this shaping up in my head while reading this thread?
