In-camera lens correction?

Can someone shed a bit of light for me?

The 5D3 (as well as some other models) has options for peripheral illumination and chromatic aberration but I don't know if I should use these or not.

I use Lightroom for everything and this already has options for lens corrections which I tend to use. Not only does this correct vignetting but also distortions so would seem to do more than the simple peripheral illumination option on the camera itself.

Questions which arise...

1. If I'm doing this in Lightroom, should I just disable these options in the camera itself?

2. If I were to leave these options enabled and then correct in LR too, would I effectively correct vignetting "twice", and potentially end up with over-exposed corners?

3. Do the in-camera settings affect RAWs anyway?

Ta for any insights :)

The corrections don't affect RAW files so it is largely academic.

If you shot jpeg and applied the same settings in LR you would over correct twice.

Ah ok :) Never use JPEGs so can just ignore it but might just turn it off for consistency in case I ever need to shoot the odd JPEG now and then and import them into LR.

They make jpeg shooting much slower and one of the only times I would shoot jpeg was for extended high speed sports stuff.
