In dire need of an upgrade, spec me, but, what can I keep?

From advice so far, I am thinking of something like this,

Total : £555.53

Just got to get my Windows 7 os & it's good to go.
Will have to wait a few extra weeks while I save for the extra budget.
 
That corsair is very good, and their customer service is great but they are expensive, so the Antec 620W i specced is good enough if you want to save money, if not that looks good to me.

Hardware Heaven review

The performance of the unit is good for a product in this price range with stable voltages recorded as well as bronze level efficiency. There were no issues with AC Ripple and minimal noise levels with low temperatures were a highlight.

Also make sure to come back before you buy incase there are any deals on that can save you some pennies:)
 
Swapped the Corsair for the Antec, always 1 for saving money :-)
Will defo be back just b4 purchase incase better deals
Off to earn me budget shortfall, lol

As sk82jack says, if you can afford the extra £20 then the antec PSU is a good shout to upgrade it now.

Come December I predict you'll be able to get a 5850 for ~£100 if not for even less of members market. Two of those in crossfire are pretty beasty and perform better than a single 6950. I'd check the actual stats on anandtech.com but it was down earlier and I'm on my phone so canne be asked.

And yeah, get the SSD later. Still waiting to find out if you can use a SSD as your boot drive and then get another one for cacheing. But that's crazy stuff we don't need to consider right now. But the Z68 board will offer those benefits in time to come should you wish to take advantage of them.

You'll always get the debate of NVIDIA v ATI, but ultimately whichever way you go the issues are as big as people make them out to be. For me, ATI are cheaper and the cards match for match often use less power and depending on the card can be cooler as well but th le NVIDIA's always have a slight performance edge.

Thats the parts sorted, just need the cash now :-)
Like I said I will be back just before purchase incase anything has changed and also so I can add a few pics of the upgrade.
