This is no doubt a daft question but I have to ask it...

I have Apple AirPod Pro's and other similar type of in-ear headphones. Is it correct that you're meant to push in the earbuds so it creates like a vacuum type fit? Or is it meant to be lose?

I never know as my first use, the AirPod Pro's fell out of my ear and got scratched on the pavement. Bad times.

No matter how I've tried, none of the replacement buds seem to fit. I only wear them for ease as tend to wear one rather than both when in the office/working.

So, question is, what is the correct method/way of wearing them? Should they be suction tight, snug, lose? Yes they fall out as soon as I turn my head let alone walk. This is the default buds, I've tried the larger ones and its the same. Maybe its the AirPod style ones that simply don't work for my ears.

I always avoided in ear sets for this reason, having always had poor fit with the wired ones that used to come with Samsung phones etc.

I recently got a free part of the Samsung basic wireless ones and, after trying a couple of the different size silicon ear cushions, it was actually the size up that worked best.

They hold in surpringly well and you do need to push them in for a tight fit. The Samsung app has a fit test, which helps. I usually use them with the noise reduction set to allow ambient sound, as I like to be aware of things. Pausing music actually helps me hear stuff I normally struggle with (I really need to get my hearing checked again).

Im assuming your rotating them backwards once they are in so the stalk faces forwards towards your nose?

I see so many people that just plop them in and expect the tip to glue in their ear canal.

The bump on the back is designed to slid in to the crevise in your ear, the more you rotate the tighter it gets

A technique I use to see if it's a crap fit will read stupid.

A) reach behind your head ,grab your right ear tip with your left hand and pull it up and back.
B) while holding above position, insert iem with other hand
C)once nicely inserted , release ear tip and see if it sits properly
D) repeat above with other ear, just opposite

Dekoni memory foam tips are a good start point. They will deteriorate over time.
Spinfit silicon tips are superb as well.

2nd on these. they are expensive but they seal extremely well. they grip onto the monitors well too so im reassured they wont get lost in my ears like some of the cheaper ones i have used in the past. Like what has been stated here before, without a good seal you wont get the best sound or the best isolation and they both go hand in hand for the best listening experience.
