Hi all,

Recently got myself a set of Shure E3c but I just can't get them to seal properly. I've tried various tips in various sizes with no luck. I can usually get them fitted ok but after 2-3 mins they drop out. Does anyone have any hints or tips on how they fit these?

Thanks

Buy some new ears for a start... :p

I can only get my Sony in-ears to fit when I have the smallest rubber bulbs on them. Try the smallest size and make sure they are actually going right into your ear not just sitting on the edge as they will fall out and you will have no sound quality at all.

Do they come with the foam tips as well? These seal far better than the plasticy/rubbery ones IMO :)

I got custom ear molds now, much better.

i agree - foam sleeves seal the best..
but it sounds like your not pushing them in far enough, as theres no way you could get them fitted ok and then have them fall out.
They should be proper jammed in!

Where did you get the custom moulds from?

I had a local guy make take the molds of my ears then sent them off somewhere I can't remember.

If you visit www.westone.com I believe they have a list of international dealers who should point you at somewhere in the UK to get them sorted :) After getting them sorted I had to turn down the previously turned up treble and they seal much better too. Not the cheapest thing tho.

I use the tips used in the e4c and e5c models (the rubeer flanged ones) they are much more compfy, fit better and sound better imo (I also here that they can cure cancer)

Same here, I find them better than the foam/rubber sleeves as well.
