In Flames (Come clarity)

It's good, not their best but it's better than the last few I think. I might head to see them at the pyramids in Portsmouth if there are still tickets, not sure.

Yeah, it's an amazing album, I've ordered tickets for their next tour, gonna be great :D

Where are you seeing them? My friends and I are headed to the Cardiff gig, can't wait!

Ive only heard a bit of the album so far, need to give it a proper listen before the gig.

Its over a month away but im so stoked about it :D

My opinion is that it's an awful album. A lot of people are claiming it's a sort of 'return to their roots' but it's not, it's a terrible mish-mash of boring emo/metalcore riffs, overproduced drums, and Anders largely abandoning his trademark Colony growls for his ridiculous, almost Korn-esque clean vocals. 'Come Clarity' the title track is a perfect example, that song sounds so emo it's untrue...

In Flames have many amazing albums. The Lunar Strain, The Jester Race/Black Ash Inheritance, Whoracle, Colony and even Clayman. Their last 3 have been less creative, more commercial and, crucially, boring! They've abandoned their trademark Gothenburg sound for something that, to my ears, really doesn't work.

I'm seeing them in Liverpool, I cant wait either :D Sepultura supporting too :D

I'm not really bothered about the direction they're heading, I find all of their albums very enjoyable to listen to, Colony is probabaly the best IMO, but I think every album by them so far has been superb. Come Clarity has been in my car since the monday after it was released. I think it's a change to hear Anders singing, although I'm not sure if I prefer it. I feel that the vocals aren't really the key focus of this album anyway, although are still pretty commendable :)

They haven't produced an album that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed, and couldn't listen to over and over again, and Come Clarity is no exception to this, even though it may not be as good as some of their other albums, I still feel that this is another cracking album, and I can't wait to see them playing it live :)

Although I'm wondering whether they're going to play Dead End, without Lisa Miskovsky or just not at all.

im of the same opinion as evil-penguin, and i disagree spirit7, i think it is a return to form, however soundtrack was the only album i had a real problem with, i thought reroute was pretty good, i'm not saying come clarity is right back to their original style, but it probably shouldnt be, it's a new album and it's 5 years since they've had that sound, however it is a step in a direction i'm happy to follow, much more to my liking than soundtrack
I'm heading to the manchester gig, which will be the 7th time i've seen them, i think, maybe 8th
as far as i'm concerned they are the best live band i've seen, and i've seen a lot of good bands
