I dont have a problem with it as long as, it fits with the setting of the game, theres no sound effects on them AANNDDD the money from the sponsers goes into supporting the game with patches, extra content etc and not just to fatten the publishers/devs wallet.

I cant see where dell is mentioned anywhere in office.

But if Valve had got money from Dell to place their name on there, i doubt it would annoy me. Same for the drinks machines in the long hallway, if they had been a real brand It wouldn't make much difference either.
Id agree if it was subtle and in keeping with the games character then I cant see why not.

I didn't know Anarchy Online and Tomb Raider: Legend were owned by EA. :rolleyes:

Nor any of the other games that have already used in-game advertising and product placement.

As long as it fits in with the context of the game it's fine by me. Although I would hate to see real ads in GTA. The parody ads in GTA one of the greatest things about GTA.

as long as they dont go over the top with ads it wont be too bad.

Remember it could also be simple things - like games that have the coke machines in, instead of saying having a made up front on them they could have the Coke/Pepsi logo on etc.

Also of games also have things like billboards, posters in them with made up names as adverts etc - if it was a real advert for something it would make the game aboit more realistic.
