in-game problem (G5, FPS)

Firstly when i enter source the DPI settings on my G5 suddenly change randomly and i can't increase or decrease the allowed DPI change! also when i reset the side push on the scroll wheel to jump it doesn't jump straight away it delays for a few seconds at times, again a problem I've never came across!

Now for the FPS

during in-game moments my FPS will suddenly decrease from 120 right down to 40-30 then shoot backup before it decreases i see a box flash on the screen, when i minimize no new programs have opened!

its not a virus issue as i have re-formatted scanned etc.!

could this be a HDD problem?

have you got setpoint installed? and set up the gaming DPI controls.

i have setpoint installed and i've fiddled with it a lot but cant sort it

I had the same problem when i flashed the firmware. It only used to do it to me ingame. Contact logitech. The sent me a brand spanking new one and i sent the old one back minus the cable and plug. Gratis. And thats fantastic customer support.

My Setpoint does that. I've read many complaints about Setpoint, it basically a piece of **** and has a mind of its own. I have a MX518 and setpoint enables the top task switch button, which I've come to rely on in BF2. Without setpoint installed it doesn't work :mad:

, but Setpoint has been all over the place recently during BF2, so I'm tempted to uninstall it.
