In-game stuttering?

hi everyone

just a quick post to try and get some opinions on why cod4 seems so stuttery atm.

specs are;

3Ghz P4 << very likely the issue .. 100% usage while in-game
1.5gb PC3200 RAM
80GB SATA HD
7900GS

I know it's aging and I should have a new machine soon, but cod4 run on low settings @ 1440 x 900 is stuttering despite the readout displaying around 90fps at times.

I will update from 175.16 to 175.19 forceware later today to see if there's any difference. Any other suggestions?

try running at a lower res, maybe try a none widescreen res (1024/768 etc)

Try disabling "Stereo effect" in the game > sound menu. I hear that can boost FPS a little.
