Hi,

Yesterday my PC decided it was about time it had a hissy fit and turned off all on its own accord. After some quick testing I've come to the conclusion that my BeQuiet 600W PSU has died, so I'm on the market for a new one.

I have to admit, I know nothing about today's PSUs. When I bought my last one, it was mostly because it was white :p But after three and a bit years it has served me well enough. I didn't think my system would be pulling enough to cause a 600W a problem, but maybe this is the reason why it died?

Anyway, I'm after a replacement please. I have no idea how much my system needs or what Brands/Models are a good buy, so can someone please suggest something? :)

Budget of £80 really, but less is good.

Thanks in advance, specs in sig.

Just 3 years warranty on the be quiet psu?
You got the short straw
Your system will run on 400W as well
If you plan to upgrade buy a big one if not a 500W will have a better efficiency on your pc

Yeah, only a three year warranty for the E7 series. Didn't really fancy shipping it Germany anyway though...

I am planning on upgrading over the summer, so I think getting a larger one would be a sound investment. But, that was my plan when I bought the BeQuiet and it never happened really :p

Is the XFX linked previously a good buy then? Who's the OEM for XFX's units?

I have to agree dacads on getting that one, the XFX power supplies are amazing quality for the money, had 3 myself in different computers and never had a problem. I think the 650w should be plenty enough even after upgrades, and the modular is just taste really, depends how good you are with cable management.
I believe the OEM for the XFX power supplies is Seasonic?
