In need of a new RPG

Currently playing Neverwinter Nights 2 and am in the need for a new RPG.

I have played the following (I am probably missing a few): Fallout series, Oblivion, Witcher, Mass Effect. But these are the most common ones people mention. No MMORPGs though. Needing a good single player one.

While everything youve mentioned, I really enjoyed both the Witcher and Mass Effect. Im sure you can get MS fairly cheap now, but the witcher was really great!
 
If you like RPGs and really haven't played Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, go do it. Now.

If you want a more modern one, Drakensang is supposed to be very good, I only just got it though so I can't say If I think it's any good or not because I'm yet to venture outside the starting area! It does seem like my kind of RPG though, in the vein of the Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter nights etc style. It's out on steam but if you want to wait for the physical copy you'll have to wait until the 27th.

Seconded - unless you have medical aversion to RPGs all gamers should be required by law to complete Planescape.

I remember after finishing it I just sat there for literally 15 minutes thinking wow, and running back through the entire plot lines in my head.
 
As other said, Planescape Torment should be the first thing any selfrespecting RPG player finishes - so GET TO IT! and do not get discouraged by the weird beginning - after all, it IS quite unusual to begin the game in the morgue : ).

Second MUST PLAY would be Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines - made by the geniuses who made Fallout 1 and 2, running on Half Life 2 Engine (Source), updated by modders to version 6.0, which is practically bug-free - one of the best games ever made.I myself finished it 4 times and will play it again.

Then, Drakensang is supposedly really good, but I have not played that one myself yet.

Oh and TBH, NeverWinter 2 is a TRASH compared to those above - if you wanna play NWN2, you should play its expansion Mask of the Betrayer, which is great, not the base game which is horrible in every way (generic story, quests, locations...........urgh).

I cant find MOTB anywhere in the shops. Will probably have to download it.

I managed to get the KOTOR 1 and 2 last night for £5. Bargain!

I am gonna have a look at this Drakensang game, noticed it in passing but didnt stop to take time to read up on it.

As for PT I will queue it up on downloads.
