Budget - £30/40 ish

Use - Gaming, mic + music now and again.

Question - Ive had a look through past and present posts and people often suggest to buy an actual pair of headphones and then buy the mic separately. Why is this?

Whats the difference in buying say one of these?

Previous headphones have included Steelseries 5hv2 which Im getting rid of, Ive tried my m8s sens and they were really nice and crisp - they were the cheapest 1s you could buy a year or so ago.

What you reckon?

I don't want to be a pain, or come across like Im hi-jacking this thread, but I will in the case of keeping the forum clean.

Im in the exact same boat but with a lower budget, say around £20 - £30 because im using my student loans and I don't want to die of starvation.

Cheers

if you can push it to around £50 then you can get the hd555 which imo are so damn good :D

but for around 30-40 look for some, Sennheiser PC161 if you plan to do a lot of gaming. or pc151 which are abit cheaper

also these might be worth looking at as i had plantronics gaming headset awhile back and they were amazing

just look at some reviews for them.
