I was initially planning on taking my own camera up. Unfortunately The FOD (Foreign Object Damage) 'rule' has been enforced....

I usually just take my compact up with me, it slips nicely into the leg pocket of a flying suit. The aircrew don't mind, in fact, they offered to shunt over to let me get some better pics. Last time I was up, I had my D50 with me....I was literally kicking them out of the way to get some shots..... You'll find it's always some soulless joy-nazi that tries to tell you what you can and can't do. Speak to the aircrew, not some wingless wonder

Ahhh. That would have been my job, but we were out the night before Most of the "muck" is ice crystals anyway.......

nice shots number 2 does it for me, my dad works at dishforth airbase and am begging him to talk to the commander to see if i can get a flight in a lynx the git goes up in the them pretty much every chance he can so he better get me up in one
