In the US - what tech should I get?

I'm in the US for another couple of months and was wondering if there are any tech products I should be particularly considering buying. Whether this is because they are cheaper (probably not given the pound...) or just due to availability.

Main concerns I would have is warranty if something goes wrong and voltage differences.

Don't have anything particular in mind, so open to options/suggestions to consider. Do need a new phone, but waiting for the Pixel 2 to be released. Half considering a tablet, though more for reading in the balcony or on holiday but with good general browsing as well, but wondering if just getting a large phone wouldn't solve that need. Would probably end up getting a much cheaper phone if I went down the tablet route.

Anyway - fire suggestions away!

MacBook. Apple provide international warranty on them. Otherwise iPhones have national warranty, not sure about iPads.

Most other manufacturers only do national warranty as well.

Although obviously it's only really worth it if you actually want one.
